Crying or Very sad hi, I am new to this forum and I am in search for an answer. I had a friend(my supervisor) who had epilipsy. He had been sick and away from work off and on for at least a week from his seizures. Later on that week, he called in sick one day. The next day, he did not call at all. A co- worker went to check on and him and found him dead. He did not have an autopsy. My question is, could it have been a grand mal? He was complaining with his stomach before and then he was numb and was running a high fever. He had been to the doctor and they claim it was food poison or an virual infection. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad could anyone help me?

I am sorry to hear about your friend and supervisor. The Dr. Could be right but there is such a thing called sudden death by epilepsy(sudep). There is quite a bit of information on it on the internet. I am no Dr. And without an autopsy it is difficult to say. If you check under this forum of epilepsy their is a gentleman that lost his wife with this, I believe his name is bethasbob(sp, or something like that) he gives a little information on this but I feel that his wife was on too much medication(just my opinion).
I also feel that we all die of natural causes, just like in the olden days, our heart gets tired and it stops, of course this is just my opinion.
My thoughts and prayers are with you!
God bless!
Sincerely,
sandy
