Q: muscle cramps

My husband gets what he calls "charlie horses" in his legs a lot. What they are is muscle cramps. He sometimes gets these in his legs a couple of times a day. They are extremely painful and sometimes last 2-3 minutes. I was wondering if there was something he could do for these, like a supplement of some kind or some type of exercise.

Just a suggestion
It's the potassium in bananas that does the trick. If he doesn't like bananas, he can take potassium suppliments and be good-to-go!

Patrick is right, when you get charlie horses its a sign of potassium deficiency...I would get blood work done to confirm this, and then either change your diet to meet these needs or take on a calcium/potassium supplement. Best of luck

Pains In Right Or Left Leg.
Hi, if you get a charle horse in your leg and it doesn't go away for a day or so and your leg is hot or swollen it could be blood clot or clots. I no this because I had a blood clot which is called a dvt in my right lower leg that went to my lungs.

Thanks, robert
