My doctor told me I have this but not much else information. When I went into him I told him I saw if you have an irregular heart rythym that your chances of having a stroke are greater, especially if you are a woman. That is when he told me that is atrial fib and mine is svt (supra ventricular tachycardia) I wear a polar heart monitor ocasionally to check how fast my heart rythym is. It is pretty well under control now, as I am on 360 mg of verapmil. How dangerous is this? Is there something else I should be doing? I walk 4 miles 5 days a week and try to eat a healthy diet.
