Hey erin - I saw the pic of your bookshelf.. Your hubby has the 'llama' book!! I love o'reilly books, they're great. I have the 'perl cookbook' and 'essential system administration'.. And a heap of other ones (mostly the perl ones) as pdfs from when a workmate got a subscription to .A.S.P.N!
Nice Smile
loren.

Mike and I wrote it when we went on a diet two years ago. You can log in and add what you eat each day and use it to count your calories or keep track of what you eat. It already has about 40,000 foods on it from the .U.S.D.A database, or you can add your own foods and save them to use again. It keeps track of calories, fat, calories from fat, saturated fat, monounsaturated fat, polyunsaturated fat, protein, cholesterol, sodium, potassium, carbs, fiber, vitamin a, vitamin b6, vitamin b12, vitamin c, vitamin e, calcium, copper, folate, iron, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, riboflavin, thiamin, and zinc. You can also log your weight everyday and see a graph of how you're doing with your weight. There's even a recipe calculator so that if you make something and you don't know how many calories, etc, you can input your indgredients, and it will calculate it for you.

That is great. I remeber when I used to count calories, it was so hard when I made food to guess what I had ate. So instead I just kept on eating things from out of the vending machine ,b/c they have the clories on the back. Great diet huh!

That is really cool! But, I have a question: can you just add calories to your daily food log? I mean, for things you know how many calories they are, but aren't on the food list?

Yeah you create your own food, you give it a name, and you have to specify at least the total calories and two of the following: carbs, fat, protein. From the total, if we have two of those three, we can calculate the missing one. And it saves it in your list for later use too.
