I had the gastric bypass on march 25 2004. For one month after my surgery I could barely keep fluids down or get the protein I needed. After 2 days of being home from the hospital after surgery I was admitted to the local I live near for dehydration, nausea, vomiting. The upper gi was normal as well as the abdominal xrays and ct. My potassium level was a little low so I had iv fluids with potassium in it. Then after that month things got a bit better when I got to the soft food stage then solids for 3 months.

For the last month I have had chronic severe 24hr day nausea, dry heaves upper left quadrant pain after eating or drinking, and constitpation.
One month ago I was admitted into local hospital again for nausea ect. My potasssium was a little low not much but got better with iv fluids and was normal b4 I left hospital. Still had some trouble so I went to gstrointerologist whom put me on protonix thinking acid reflux. I was taken off the reglan as I was still puking from that. In the hospital the endoscopy was normal as were the abdominal xrays and upper gi but it took 12 hours to do. Everything moved real slow. Also told use co,ace everyday to help with bowels. Put on zofran 8 mg for nausea 2 times daily. Still nausea. Still pain upon eating or drinking. Never hungry. Ealy saiety. Then recentl;y I was back in the hospital for nausea pain and dehydration. Potassium level this time normal. Still cant really eat actually I seem to avaoidingbfood and drinking liquids more. The nausea is 24 hr a day now. Just had another endoscopy normal also a bravo ph test will get results in 2 days. I am now also at the point I cant get the supplements I need. Im tired, exhausted ect. I just wish I knew what was going on.
Any1 else have thises syptoms. Any idea on what can be done.. Al my blood work comes back normal including liver and pancreatic enzymes.. Potasium is fine so is calcium.
Im exhausted and can only deal with my problems but have a 13 yrold whom needs his mommy.
Trying to work while all this is going on. Luckily I have a understanding boss whom by the way the one whom admitted me into the hospital in the last 2 times in one month.

Help going nuts in california

can't eat red meat, pork, most veggies kill me, yet sugar and sweets fats are all fine.Still in pain most days, the Dr. office don't seem to be too worried about this, but then again they are not in pain.
It does depend on the person from what they tell me, I almost wise I never got this bypass
