Posted: 08-26-04 08:09am

I used to be an electrician and then I studyed computers and got a diploma in i.T.
Now I have injured my back and been off work for well over a year, proberly approaching 2.
Cant do an all out physical job and cant sit down for very long.
Im sure people have the same problems.

Is this a permanent back problem, or are you able to get some kind of treatment?

So you are looking for a job that does not involve any heavy lifting or physical work, but also not a straight desk job, you need something that involves moving around a bit I guess...Something like a quality control inspector maybe, or maybe you could teach? You don't say where you are, but maybe there are government jobs that would be good, they also tend to have good health benefits plus no-discrimination policies!
