Breaking sean from the bottle. Any suggestions, that is like his comfort when he sleeps. I havent even taken it away yet but he still cries at night for the past couple nights, I dont know what is going on. Do I just stop giving him anything when he goes down. Or should I give him a sippy cup of water of something....

Need some advice here ladies.

Love, stacie

keep in mind sean is already 16 months and they are supposed to stop at 14 months.

Sad I know I messed up.

Don't worry! He'll get the hang of it. I'm sure he'll be fine.

I think the sippy cup is a good idea give him that at nite, and my mom told me for babies put a bit of caro syrup and they will sip it anyway but I think it should still work for him cuz its sweet... I dont think he will care what its in as good as it is... Lol Laughing

My aunt had a hard time breaking my cousin from her pacifier. She was almost 3, so one night when my cousin wanted her pacifier, my aunt told her, "kelly, I can't find them! I think you ate 'em all up!" and my cousin was fine with that, and never cried for it again

Hey
Not the sippy cup thing. It'll make him get attached to that. Nope, nothing. Trust me, it was a fight with kaitlyn, but it'll get better.

Last night I put him down with a sippy cup of milk, I found a really good sippy cup, it is a generic, and I got it for $0.75 but it is the best darn thing I have seen, absolutely no leaks. I am going to try his nap today with nothing, but I dont know if he will go for it, so maybe I will take him outside first, and get him "real" tired, and then try to put him down without anything, because I see your point about him then getting attached to that.

Thanks ladies..

Ohh word of advice, whatever is going on with pampers and the "new" diapers, I hate them.

Aparently they have come out with a new lining in them and I hate them. I hated the old ones, and I hate these ones too. I just bought the bulk package, when is the last time you bought them jordan? I am switching back to huggies supreme's.

Just my opinion.

I could be wrong and they changed them a long time ago, and they are just "new" to me.

My aunt says the best thing to do is keep one bottle and put t up somewhere that he won't find it, and throw all the rest of them away. When he cries for it, let him cry himself to sleep. And the xtra bottle is for a real emergency only, but I would throw that away too. And I would also try giving him the sippy cut before, you put him down.

Well with both my neices, they just took the bottle away one day. And neither of them cared to remember it.

My stepmom tells a story about when she was 3, her mother said she could have some ice cream if she threw her pacifier out the car window, and she did! And she got ice cream! Lol. Maybe you should give him a reward for willingly giving it up instead of trying to force it away from him.
