I Wish Kaelyn Had a Daddy :(
Posted: 08-24-04 22:31pm

Well it's been 8 weeks (thursday) since kaelyn has been born and her dad hasn't seen her since she was 2 days old. He is saying that the "dates don't match up" I wish he would just take me to maury cuz I know that he is kaelyn's father. Why is it so easy for men to just brush off their responsibilities and in the mean time make us look like trash ughh I am so upset, kaelyn doesn't know him, hasn't bonded with him and at first I didn't care but now I just really want her to have a daddy. I have an appt. With the states attorney to discuss my case against him for child support but then we have to go get a paternity test and that just makes the process that much longer ya know.. I want him to know now I just wish there was an easier way! By the time we establish paternity I feel like it'll be too late, she may be scarred for life =( what am I supposed to do, i've sent him emails with pix and I sent a long letter and I have given him so many chances to see her, now he is at college and wont be coming home until thanksgiving....This sux. I have to do this by myself and he got off easy. When I was in the hospital and before I had her, he sed he would be there, so did his family. She is so beautiful, honestly if I was him i'd be showing her off!! Sory I just wanted to vent lol!! I been wanting to do that since she was born but had no one to tell!

Don't worry! If all the other girls on here can be such great mommies with little or no help from their sperm donors, you can too! Women are stronger than men in many aspects. We're built for parenthood. You can do it! And if you need us to, we'll help!

I agree with erin...
If you did it for 8 weeks, what makes you think you can't do it longer?
My baby daddy didn't start "really" coming around until my daughter was 1. Trust, you can do it! You have support from us and your family as well!
Good luck!

Forget that dude... You can take him to maury... Dont wait for him to do it cuz he probably won't... Most of the time men know they are the father and just like to stall or show out... Dont pay him any mind and you just take care of your daughter.

Hun dont worry iwent through the same thing. He didnt believe me either, welll he thought it was his but he 'wasnt sure'. .Although he was better about it and seen garret when he was born and visited him alot until the test came back. The test came back and it was of course his. .But dont worry and think it will be 'too late' because it only takes 2 weeks for a paternity test to come back*

Why don't you get go get your own paternity test? Usually they are about $500, but at this time of the year most of them have discounts. And it only takes 2 or 3 days to get the results back. In some states if he doesn't want to take the test, he can be ordered to, and if not a judge can find that he is the father b/c he doesn't want to take the test, unless he has religous reasons not to. To tell you the truth I hate when people go on maury for a paternity test. People just put their business in the street, and everyone comes out looking stupid to me whether they proved their point or not. I don't think they realize that reruns go on for a long time, and their children may have to see that. I would pay thousands to take a paternity test, rather than do it on television. But good luck.

Well if you're sure he's the dad, then he'll have to pay for it if a judge makes him take it. Of course, if it turns out he's not the dad, you have to pay for it.

You said at the beginning I wish he would just take me to maury. Why dont you take him to maury. Tell maury how everything is, and how tough everything has been for you, and then you dont have to pay for the paternity results, because they cost a fortune and maury would do that for you. I think it is worth a shot.

Plus, maybe your baby will get a gift or something. Smile

W.H.O cares. You should not suffer, and not get caca from him because he doesnt want to step up. How are you going to get child support or anything if he says that he is not the father, you have to get a paternity test. That is his child and he is going to feel damn stupid when you pull him on maury and you are like this is your child, and it is proven. He is going to be so shook up I bet because he is missing out on bonding with that baby and everything. I think you shouldnt worry abotu what he is going to say about you because 90% of the time the audience sides with the mother anyway and just boo and the person. I wish you the best but I really must go now.

Call me if you need someone to talk to.
