Hi i'm new and really worried at this point. My husband had a heat stroke 3 weeks ago and they told him he need to see a heart doc and a head doctor right away. But with no insurance that is kindof hard. He goes tomorrow to see if he can get medicaid so he can find out what is wrong with him. For awhile now he gets real dizzy for no reason and now his right eye is blurring on him. Also he can't lift anything, his shoulders are so weak. Other things include slured speech at times, and he's always tired. Does anyone know what these syntoms sound like? Wink

Heart diseases and stroke are often connected because atherosclerosis affects both heart and brain arteries. Risk factors for developing atherosclerosis are: smoking, increased blood fats (cholesterol and triglycerides), increased blood glucose (diabetes), hypertension, overweight, stress, older age etc.
Does your husband have any of these risk factors?
Dizziness, weak shoulders and disturbed speech can be consequences from the stroke, and presence of some heart disease?
