Well as most of you know my contractions were stopped several times before. On saturday aug. 7. I was having a strange feeling all day so I decided to tie up some loose ends as they say. I cleaned the house, got all my paper work ready, all just on a hunch. I was contracting every 15 to 20 min. So I decided to go to my moms and we went shopping. I wanted to get my mind off of the contractions. After we went shopping the contractions were still far apart but they were intensifying. In the evening I told my mom that I wanted to have a lobster dinner before I give birth. So we went to a spanish restuarant and I ate my lobster. My contractions were all in my back and they hurt like hell. My mom told me to go home because it wasn't time yet. I go home and my back pains just got worst. But they were still 15 min apart. By 400 a.M I couldn't take it anymore, my son heard me yelling in the bathroom and asked me what was wrong. I told him that I thought that the baby was coming, he lifts up my shirt to see if he could see anything. I send him back to bed but he wanted to stay up with me, but he fell asleep two seconds later on the sofa. By 420a.M I went to take a quick shower got dressed and went to the room to wake up sheldon.
We left my house at 445 and reached the hospital 10 min. Later, he was going 85mph on that highway. By 520 I was checked and I was 2cm dialated but my contractions were still every 15 min. Apart. The midwife told me that I should go and walk around as I went to get off the bed my water broke. I changed into a gown, and I started to walk around. I made 3 puddles of water in the hall way. I thought I was going to be a while so I told sheldon to go and get something to eat. The nurse said that I should get back in bed because I was loosing too much water too fast. Within minutes my contractions went from every15 to every 2 min. I t was all in my back. I couldn't take the pain. The midwife decided to check me and within 45 min. I went from 2 to 6 cm. I requested an epidural right away. I couldn't believe how painful back labor was. I heard it was bad, but man nothing could prepare you for that pain, I could hack regular labor anytime, over tat back pain. But my relief was short the epidural only worked for about an hour and a half. It took a few to dialate to 8cms it ws 100pm to be exact.
The doctor waked in because I was screaming my guts out I couldn't take the pain. My abdomanal area and legs were numbed but my back still hurt.
The doctor told me to push to see how I would do. When I pushed ,she said I pushed the baby right up to the 10 cm. I was so happy it was going to be all over. I was wrong since I couldn't feel anything down there, I couldn't tell how I was pushing. All I remeber is screaming the whole time my back, my back. All of my mother's co-workers heard me screaming and felt bad for me. 3 hours and a half later and he still wouldn't come out. I would psh he would crown, but as I would stop to take a breath he would go back in. I was begging them for the vacumm, but they wouldn't use it. They felt that I could do it on my own. After four hours of hearing me scream they used the vacumm and he was born with only 4 pushes. The a s s holes could of saved me 4 hours of pushing. He was born on aug. 8 at 640 p.M. 7lbs. 7.8 oz. 21in. And that is my long painful labor story, but looking at him I would do it again in a heartbeat.
