I have had 2 surgeries, (1) just uterus (2) tubes and ovaries. Had a long battle with endo, and fibroids and enlarged uterus

last yr was the tubes and ovaries, I am having pains on my left side.

I am overweight, and hpb and anemic still, I thought the anemic would end after the surgery ( so tired of the iron pills)constipation is miserable and frustrating

any ideas on what the pain could be?

If you are having pain on your left side, it might be your colon, especially if you are having a lot of constipation. Don't let this slide because it could be infection. I found out the hard way that I had diverticulosis when I started having a lot of pain in my left side and feeling really bad. Had a lower gi and they found it. I know it sounds yucky, but start drinking metamucil at least once or twice a day for the constipation. I drink it religiously every day and it seems to sooth the colon down and really helps alleviate the constipation. I buy the smooth texture no sugar type. I use about a tablespoonful in a glass of water and drink it with a straw. You have to drink it pretty quickly because it tends to thicken fast. With the straw, you barely taste it. It doesn't taste bad but i'm not an orange juice lover. Once you are over the constipation, just drink it once a day in the mornings. I'd still have yourself checked out by a doctor for the pain though, but i'd be willing to bet it's your colon being irritated by the constipation. Believe me, I know. I've lived with this for about the last 5 or 6 years.

Wow~
this sounds like what i've just been through. I initailly had my uterus removed due to endometriosis and cycst. I was ok for about a month after. Then I started having pain on the left side. It got increasingly worse. It felt like a pulling sentation, and would often travel into the groin and down into my leg. I am fortunate enough to have a great ob-gyn that listens and trusts me. After ruling out problems with the bladder, colon and everything else that could be ruled out via cat scans and mris, she decided to remmove the ovaries, which she had kept inactive since the removal of the uterus.(i'm leaving out the things that aren't relevant, here. Lol) anyway, when she opened me up, she found that I had mass amounts of adhesions. They weren't visible on any of the tests that were performed. I wonder if this could be your problem, too? It may be worth discussing with your Dr. Good luck.

Sammyiul may be right. I hadn't thought of adhesions, but it could be that, especially after 2 surgeries. They are very painful. It's been a while since I had my hysterectomy, but I remember having pulling/stinging pains on both sides from adhesions. Mine finally quit hurting, but it was a long time before they did. Some women who have bad ones, have to eventually have something done to correct the problem if they are really bad.

partial hysterectomy and pain after 3 years
It has been 3 years since my partial hysterectomy, but 3 weeks ago I had some spotting and now today I am having pain in my left side, where my left ovary would be and cramping like pains and through my hip in the back, just like regular cramps can be. But now?
I have an appointment with my ob/gyn, but not until another week. Any suggestions or comments please
