I have had vaginal itching for the last 3 days. It's not constant and there is absolutely no discharge or odor. I thought it might be a yeast infection but how can it be if there is absolutey no discharge. In fact it seems to be overly dry. It is also, a little swollen and red. I haven't noticed any bumps or anything like that. Anybody know what could be the problem?

I would consider anything new or changed, like, body soap, laundry detergent, fabric softener, even new undies, if you're sexually active new condoms, spermicide, partners new soap, laundry detergent etc. Maybe it's an allergic reaction.

There's also the fact that i'm not sure that a yeast infection has to have discharge or odour, it still might be a yeast infection, maybe really low grade. If it was me i'd go to the doctor, or I might just try an over the counter medication for yeast infection and see if that helps.

I will try the medicine first since I just started a new job and my insurance hasn't kicked in yet. Thank you!

The above advice is great. Yes, it still could be a yeast infection, so it wouldn't hurt to try the medicine. It could also be bacterial vaginosis. Itching isn't a normal symptom I don't think, but I get really itchy when I have it. Do you have a family planning type clinic you can go to? It would be cheaper since you don't have insurance.
