I started having occaisional lower back pain approx 10yrs ago. My back would go out rendering me unable to work from a couple days to a couple weeks. Within the last few weeks I have started getting pain in my right buttock with pain/tingling also spreading down the back of my right leg to the knee. Ibuprofen helps but if I don't take it the pain is an all day thing and the pain is significant. Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry I cannot offer you help, but I can understand what you are going through. I developed the same problem in much less time. In january of 2004, I started lifted weights for exercise. I was on prednisone and told to do weight bearing exercises to prevent thinning of the bone.

What I got was much worse. Because of the prednisone I did not feel the inflammation right away and continued exercising improperly for probably 3 months. I have two discs out in my back. The pain radiates down both legs from the buttocks. I cannot sit for more than one hour or I am in extreme pain and just six months ago, I had no problem at all.
I am depressed than I did this to myself and do not know where to turn from here. I know I am of no help to you. I am sorry for that. But it in some way helps me to put this in writing. Thanks for listening.
Hope you find relief soon.
Lori
