Q: Strange Blisters - Please Help

About 2 weeks ago I noticed 3-4 small blisters on the back of my hand. After a few days they were still there, so I popped them. There was a tiny bit of liquid, nothing seemed unusual. The next day, the area became red and puffy. Since then the blisters have turned to scabs, then have fallen off. Leaving my skin pinkish and scar-like. But the surrounding area, stayed red for a while, and now is slowly fading away. It never ached or itched.
It looks like it is going away, but it seems very strange, and has taken a long time.
My wife wants me to get it checked out, thinking it may be skin cancer. Any suggestions. Thanks.
