Q: Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo Problems

My girlfriend is currently on ortho tri-cyclen lo. She has only been on it for about 2 or 3 weeks. The problem is, she just hit her period after about 11 days. It might be those possible side effects we always hear about, but about 2 days prior to going on her period she threw up about 2 hours after she took her pill. Wondering if this may have caused her to go on her period early? Also, anyone who experienced anything similar, it would be great to hear about the what and why of it...If youre not to shy to share. Thanks alot in advance.

That could be the reason she's having breakthrough bleeding. But it's difficult to say whether or not that's it specifically because breakthrough bleeding is rather common in the first month of taking the pill, anyway. I'd just figure it as nothing. It could continue until she gets her period or could just stop suddenly. It's ahrd to know.

Hey! That exact thing happened to me in my first month of ortho tri cyclen lo. I started my period a week early, and it lasted for 3 weeks!! By the third pack of pills, everything had evened out, and was regular. I love being on this pill now. My period lasts 5 days, and I can time it to a clock when its going to come! I love it!!
