Q: Ingrown Eyelashes

My daughter has very long eyelashes and occasionally a few grow into her eyes at the outer corners. Is there a way to prevent this or remove them? They bother her intermittantly. Eventually they fall out.

Ingrowing Eyelashes
Dear mvitiello,

have you tried plucking the unwanted eyelashes out with tweezers ? I would think that is about the only way to remove them, plucking is obviously going to cause a little distress for your daughter particularly if she is a youngster, but if the ingrowing eyelashes are to remain growing into her eyes they may cause irritation not to mention a great deal of discomfort. Maybe you could talk to your doctor about it and they could suggest some other options to treat your daughter.

Good luck,
