Thats really sad, and I know you have probably heard this a million times but tiffany's in a better place now, and god takes people when they have done sooo much good on earth, and that is seen in kaitlyn.

Tiffaney was josh's wife.
Josh and tiffaney got married when josh was 18 and tiffaney was 15. October 27, 1997. Here's part of a story I wrote for a website a while back. It kinda gives you some insight!

My brother and tiffaney met though a friend at a party. Josh was dating tiffaney’s best friend. Not long after meeting though, these two knew that they belonged together. They began dating on february 14, 1997. Tiffaney was 15-years-old and josh was almost 18. They dated for only 8 months before they decided to get married. See, my family had decided to move back to louisiana from south carolina and josh and tiffaney knew that they couldn’t be apart. So, they got married with tiffaney’s mothers permission, then they moved to louisiana with us.

In july of 1998 tiffaney became pregnant and then had a miscarriage. In that same month and year her sister had a baby. A little boy named tommy. By december of 1998 tiffaney has decided that she wanted to move back to sc to be with her nephew and family.

In september of 1999 tiffaney gave birth to kaitlyn. Kaitlyn was 2 months premature and I think that had made tiffaney grow up a lot. In october of 1999 my family and I went to sc to visit them for the first time since katy had been born. We stayed for only 3 short day’s, but they were a nice 3 day’s. While we were there we kept trying to convince tiffaney and josh to move back to louisiana with us. They agreed to do so, but only after christmas because like tiffaney said, everyone there was counting on spending katy’s first christmas with her. Little did we know, christmas would be too late.

On december 4, 1999 tiffaney called us around 9:00 a.M. To talk. She talked first to my mom and then to me. We ended our conversation as always with a lot of “i love you‘s” and “kiss katy for me”. Then we hung up. We got a call at 3:00 a.M. On december 5th. It was my brother asking us if we had heard from tiffaney. After a lot of turmoil, we went to sc to be with josh. Kaitlyn was found that same day unharmed at the georgia welcome center. 24 day’s later the body of my sister-in-law was found by 2 deer hunters in the woods.

10 months later, reinaldo rivera was arrested and charged with tiffaney’s homicide. He also murd ered 3 other girls and confessed to over 200 rapes. His 5th victim was the reason he was caught. He didn’t succeed in her homicide which later lead to his arrest.

Im so so sorry its so sad and it pisssses me off so much that their are such devils in this world....

I know uve prolly told it a million times, but I dont know the whole story, how did the baby end up at the welcome center? Were they together?

It's a long story, but I will give you the shortest version I can.



On december 4, 1999 tiffaney and left. Tiffaney was going to do a little shopping and go see her mother at her beauty shop. Then she going going to take kaitlyn to the win*dixie in n.Augusta, south carolina to have her picture taken with santa clause. Josh was going to go, but decided against it. He had just worked a 12 hour shift at a plant and was tired. He was goingto lay down and rest.


At 3:00 tiffaney called josh. Told him she was leaving her moms shop to go take the pic now and that she'd pick up some food for supper and be on her way home after that. Josh fell asleep.


At 11:00 p.M. Josh woke up. He was sleeping in the living room. He looked around. Tiffaney hadn't woken him up when she got home. He got up to go meet her in their bedroom. She and kaitlyn wern't there..... He looked outside. The car wasn't there. He immediatly paged her and called her mother. He called friends. He paged her again. He called her mom again. He called everyone they knew...... No one had seen her.


Tiffaney's mom came get josh about 1 a.M to go look for tiffaney. She had been in their only car so he had no other way to leave. They happened to pass in front of the win*dixie that tiffaney took kaitlyn too and there in the deserted parking lot..... Was their white lumina..... While this was wierd, the still didn't report her missing..... At 3 a.M. (this is not the 5th of december) josh called us here in louisiana to see if we had heard from tiffaney. He asked us to pager her and put in our # and 911. We did. Over and over. But 4 a.M. They repported her missing. Because she had an infant with her and even though she was married, she was only 17...So the search started immediatly. The phones were constantly ringing. Ours, joshs, everyones.
On the 5th of december in the afternoon the police informed josh that a baby had been found unharmed at the georgia welcome center. They went down to the hospital. And identified kaitlyn. She hadn't been hurt or anything. She was fine! They released her into the coustody of tiffaney's family because josh was a suspect in the dissaperence of tiffaney. Josh became the prime suspect. He was treated horribly. To this day almost 5 years later..... He wakes up with cold sweats and night mares of sitting in a small room with cops telling him we know you kil led your wife, now tell us where you put her body.
anyway, to make a long story short. All of tiffaney's family turned on josh. They didn't even let josh see kaitlyn or anything for almost all of the 24 days that tiff was missing. We stay with him from dec. 6 - dec. 13. Adn then my dad went to stay with him thru the 28th.
On december 28, 1999 (my little sisters birthday), tiffaney's body was found in the woods by 2 deer hunters. That night, she was idintifed as tiffaney through hair and dental records.
We buried her on jan 1. New years day. Closed casket, because of the decompistion of her body. They didn't even let josh hold kaitlyn at her own mothers funeral...... For that, we'll never forgive them.



10 months later on october 10, 2000. A woman in her home, was brutally attacked and unlike tiffaney, she survived. On the 13th reinaldo j. Rivera was arrested and charged with her attempted homicide and rape. Upon arrest, he willingly confessed to the homicide of marni glista (21 year old army sargent, a few months after tiffaney) tiffaney wilson (10 months before), melissa dingess (17, a year before tiffaney), and tabitha bosdell (18, a few months after tiff).



His story for all the girls isn't exactly what happened. What happened to all the girls isn't exactly known. They were all raped, stabbed, and strangled. But this is what happened to tiffaney.



Dec. 4, 1999. Tiffaney went in a took kaitlyn's pic with santa. Went outside to the car. It wouldn't start. Rivera see's her..... And knows she has car trouble and offers her a ride. Her mother lived about 2 blocks up the road, so I guess tiffaney thought it was safe to go with him..... She never makes it to her mom's house. He pulls into some woods..... In the neighborhood where her mom lives...... And stabs her and hits her over the head. Locks her in the back of his van. Turns around, goes to the georgia welcome center and proceeds to take kaitlyn out of the van and go set her in front of the welcome center. Why did he not just kill kaitlyn? We don't know..... But he didn't. He leaves her and her infant seat in the doorway of the welcome center.



He then takes tiffaney to the woods off of bettis academy rd. And rapes, strangles, and stabbs her.


He leaves her body and goes home.


24 days later, her body is found.



A break in the case~at the trial it comes out that not everything was as peachy as rivera first told authorities. A wintess (philiph henscial) recalls that evening at teh ga. Welcome center. He recalls seeing a girl and a hispanic male. The girl seemed to be running from the hispanic man. She wasn't screaming....... She was too far away for him to really see how she looked expression wise. Next time he looks up....... The "couple" is gone.


He sees tiffaney's picture on the news that she's missing. Dosen't pay much attention. 10 months after her homicide...... Rivera picture is up on the news. When philiph sees the picture...... Before it's even linked to the death of tiffaney, philiph puts it together in his head. The girl who was running, was tiffaney wilson. Her face.... Pain and fear. Her hand... Over her left breast. He said rivera was chasing tiffaney. She must have woken up in the van and got out to go get kaitlyn. He said now that he sees her face, he see's pure torture. At teh time though.... He didn't pay attention.

We know now, why she didn't scream. Rivera had punctured her lung when he stabbed her just over her left breast. Which is why she wasn't screaming and she was holding her chest......... Philiph to this day.... Almost 5 years later, has yet to forgive himself for not realizeing at the time that she was in pain and hurt.......



So, there you go. It took forever to type this. It's hard to type. She suffered before she died. She was in pain. She didn't know if her daughter would be ok....... But, kaitlyn is and I know tiffaney is watching over her everyday of her life...........

i forgot to mention, after we buried tiffaney. On jan. 13, 2000 kaitlyn was given back to josh. Josh was finally cleared as a suspect. He was free to leave south caolina. Mom and josh packed up and he was back here the 14th. With our baby girl.

That is so tragic. That made my cry.

Chanda-i cannot imagine how any of you or your family coped with such a horrific and terrible tragedy.Tiffaney looked like such a nice person & the two of you were clearly very close-it must devastate you inside every day. But I bet she's looking down & thanking god that she got such a good sister-in-law who would be there to take good care of kaityln.I cannot imagine what tiffaney went through

Did josh get an apology?? As if he really needed to be accused of his wifes homicide while he is grieving! People these days! Cops especially. Their goal is to send everyone they posibbly can to jail! Anyway I am sorry for your and the family's loss.

Aww that is horrible, I cant even begin to imagine.... It kindda makes u not even want to leave the house...They are crazy peopleout there....( (.... Thanks girls. December 4 will be 5 years without her and december 8 will be her 22 birthday. We have a party for her every year on her birthday. Last year she had a barbie cake and go barbies (at kaitlyn's request), so katy gets the barbies and gets to "care for them" since mama tiffaney can't! Hehe, she's a smart little girl. She knows how to play the adults! Lol.

Thanks for the support though. I was 13 when she was murdered. And I can tell you..... I was already mature for my age, but that just made me shoot up quicker..... It's hard sometimes..... Other times it's ok.....

not exactly. Tiffaney's family is stupid to say the least. The only reason we have anything to do with them is for kaitlyn. But I can promise you if kaitlyn wasn't here, it would be to hell with them! Josh doesn't have much to do with them at all. Not even for kaitlyn. Mom and I deal with the family. They try and try to suck up to him. They do all they can to make it up to him, but there isn't enough hours in a day to tell you all what that family did to him. On christmas day.... His wife missing, his baby at her grandmothers, josh spent christmas with his landlord and her son.... And that is only one example.

I'm sorry, I have to stop now. If I talk about the family I can't handle it.
Anyway, to answer you.... They try and suck up now...... But it's no use. The damage is done. For kaitlyn we are civil. But only because we love kaitlyn enough to respect them for her.

Im really sorry chanda. I lost my mom and it will be 3 years this september 3rd but I cant imagine losing someone that way. I almost lost my mom to homicide back in 97. She was shot 6 times by someone tryin to car jack her and even pronounced dead on arrival but she was revived. God was with her that day. But then she died from a heart attack in 2001. Im glad that ur brother and neice have good people like u and ur family in their life. And tiff is in a beautiful and safe place now. Take care. ~ erica.
