Q: Feeling Like a Truck Hit Me Today

And I still have two weeks to wait before my doctor's appointment. Some days, i'm nearly certain that they're going to diagnose me with lupus and some days i'm equally sure there's nothing wrong with me... Today is one of the former.

There seems to be conflicting info on the internet about what ana levels mean and which patterns are specific for what... One site says speckled is the most common, while many others say that homogenous is the most common... I've had both patterns... Do patterns change over time?

I wish I could fast-forward my life to september 3rd... Of course, i'm probably just going to be faced with more tests and more waiting. I'd imagine that my doc will run a sed rate and c-reactive protein... Since i've had the ana and related antibodies, the anti-phospholipid panel and the lac, are there any other tests I should expect or ask for???

Thanks for listening to me whine.

Hi! Smile

it is my understanding that ana numbers and attributes can change according to your symptoms and disease activity at the time of testing.

I know I have had the ana test several times and have had several different numbers...Higher when I was very ill...

As for tests, if you want to be tested for lupus hop over to www.Lupus.Org and checkout their lupus test section...
