...And it was positive! Smile so, me & james are definately having a baby. I am officially 6 weeks and 2 days along. The health dept. Gave me all the paperwork to fill out for wic and medicaid, so i'm good to go. I have to go back on monday and have the full work-up done, so I guess that means a blood test. I've never had blood drawn before, and all my life, I have had a severe paranoia about it. I'm terrified of having blood drawn. Obviously, I have to get over that. Sad it's gonna be scary as hell. But, i'll be fine, i've just got to get it in my mind that it has to be done! Lol. I'll keep you guys updated! Smile

Don't worry! It's just 5 seconds or so! I'm guessing positive was the outcome you wanted, so congrats!!

Dont worry, youll get used to it. You have to have more blood drawn as you go along in pregnancy.

Youve never had blood drawn before? What did your doctors do when you went for checkups all your life?

Linuxchique:

well, initially, we weren't planning on having a baby now, since he's 16 and i'm 17. But, after getting two positive home tests, I was pretty sure. So I got excited about it, because I realize that everything happens for a reason! I guess I would've been disappointed if it had been negative, because i've finally gotten used to the idea of being a mom. Smile so i'm happy with the outcome.

Nikki: well, i've never been hospitalized, or been sick enough for them to have to draw blood. I've been really lucky with health. I mean, I think I had blood drawn when I was maybe two or three, but I don't remember it now.

Let's see, I believe james's exact words were: "you know, we already planned on getting married and having kids, so it's not that bad. We're just a little early."

lol, he's so cute. :d

Erin's right you are lucky to have a guy that feels that way because most guys would bounce or act selfish, thinking about thier own needs. You two are young but if you have family support you will be find and most important have each other.

Good luck and congrats!!!!
