Q: Fluid On Lungs & Difficulty In Breathing

Has anyone else suffered nasal congestion of pregnancy?
I've been stuffed up since I got pregnant, but recently its got worse in the past few days I have had 3 episodes of coughing/choking where I am bringing fluid off my lungs. Its definitely from my lungs and not just being sick as last night it happened right after dinner and I kept my dinner down.
I've had less than 5 hours sleep and woke up coughing. I haven't had any fluid this morning but I am finding it real hard to breathe.
I don't (so far) have asthma. The fluid is clear and kind of like runny snot (gross sorry). It's not just a little bit either, well over a cupful. I'm sure it's not swallowed from my stuffy nose, cuz I hate that and always blow, but then my nose hasn't really been runny, more like the inside of my nose is swollen.
I am gonna ring my doctor as soon as the surgery opens but that's an hour off yet. Confused

Well just got back from doctor, who prescribed me an aqueous nasal spray to use once at night - don't see how this is going to stop fluid on my lungs mind you. Rolling Eyes
he was a locum my normal doctor is on holiday until friday.
If it's no better by then i'll go see my usual doctor.
Picked up a handful of reference leaflets too, I know most of the info will be uk based but it may still be helpful.

Lol I figured that was what had happened - we all do it once Wink

thing is I didn't have any allergies that I was aware of before hand.
I used the spray this morning (doc said once in evening but I was desperate) before I went to have a nap (been up since 5.30 and needed a nap before working) and I think it may have helped - I can kind of breathe :d

I cant breathe either. My nose has been stuffed up since I remember. Might be allergies though for me. At least you got something prescribed.
