Q: Confused About Ovulation!?

Okay some questions...I got my period on july 15th and I had it for 5 days (does the amount of days you have your period mean anything to determine when you ovulate?) then I got my period again on august 11th (28 days after july 15th) it too lasted 5 days. When is it most likely that I ovulate? And is it always the same time for women who have a 28 day cycle or can it be a week earlier or later? Some women dont ovulate 14 days before their next period, right? Any help would be appreciated!

Although it's different for everyone, you ovulate about 12 days into your cycle...Which means the 5 days of your period are the first 5 days of the cycle and then sometime after the other remaining 7 days of those 12, you ovulate. So yes, you count the days of your period as part of that. Also, remember that sperm can live up to 7 days inside your body...So if you're trying to figure out if you could get/be pregnant, you'll have to take that into consideration.
