Q: Digestive Problem

I'm 20 years old-height 5'7.5" and weight just 110 pounds.
I'm having some problem with my digestive system. Whenever I take
fatty and more spicy food, i'll get frequent stoolpassing and diarrhea.
At first, I used to take the anti-diarrheal tablet metronoidazole-400mg
and finish the medicine course( 3 times a day for 3 days) but after the
diarrhea sort-of-thing became habitual, I casually take the medicine anytime
without completing the course. Does this have some adverse effect on my health?
And, should I visit a gastrologist or my problem is just common one?

I would go to a gastroenterologist. Sometimes gallbladder problems or pancreas problems can reduce the ability to properly digest fatty foods. But no matter what the problem is, if you are constantly having diahrea then I would definitely go to the doctor. As for the medicine.. It shouldn't hurt you to take it when you need it. I think i've been on the same meds before too.
