I know that hair loss is a possible side effect for the pill but it occurs very, very rarely. I would switch back to the pill that didn't give you any problems right away if it continues like this or ask your doctor.

Ortho Tri Cyclen
I was on ortho tri cyclen and experienced hair loss when I went off of it. It was a general thinning out of my hair, no bald spots. I didn't realize it was a side effect of going off the pill until I visited a dermatologist for the problem and he explained the issue. He actually told me that it was probably hair I would have lost slowly over time as part of getting a little older (hair thins a little in your 20s for many women, but you don't notice it because it's so gradual). He explained that the pill had prevented some of this hair loss and that stopping the pill caused it all to happen in a short amount of time. I was pretty freaked out when it was happening, but it eventually normalized and now I lose a normal amount of hair each day. My hair is thinner than when I was younger, but I think I would naturally have slightly thin hair due to genetics. Hang in there! It should stabilize!

The pill
This is a question for Cindy, after coming off of the pill after how much time did you notice your hair thinning? how long were you on the pill for and how old were you when you got off of it? I hope this is not too personal just wondering to see how fast the side effects came about for you? Niki
