Most insurance companies will cover semen analysis if your o.B. Recommends and fills out a lab form for you.
Be patient- my husband and I have been trying for 7 years and still we can not find any reason why not.

It all depends on what type test test your doctor decides on, my doctor checked my progesterone to see if I ovulated, which I don't on my own, that is covered by medical. However most companies don't cover the treatment for infertility, I took clomid for 4 months they did not cover this, and I had to have a sonogram on day13 everymonth which is $90.00 per time and my husbands semen analysis was 183.00, I think it also varies depending on where you live.

Ovulation Testing
Blood work to check to see if you are ovulating has to be done at a certain time of your cycle. I think it is around day 18. Call your doc. His nurse can tell you.

Didn't realize sperm analysis varied so much. My husbands cost 40.00 at the local hospital. His insurance covered it and covers infertility testing and treatment. Mine however doesn't at all. And, we have the same insurance carrier, just different companies.
