Q: Can You Be Under Stress Without Actually Feeling It?

I've been stressed out since last night about a certain morbidly frightening situation occurring in my life. The stress has caused me nausea that forbids eating.

I tried to take my mind off my stress by watching movies, and while I wasn't thinking about my situation, the stress-induced nausea managed to linger on and the highly sick nautious feeling returned, and I ended up on the brink of vomiting and in tears.

Why was I still feeling the stress in my gut when I wasn't thinking about it?

Just because you take your conscious mind off what is worrying, upsetting or making you angry etc doesn't mean that your sub-conscious mind isn't still having a field day scaring, upsetting you etc!!

You need to deal with whatever is going on not just try to avoid it - ofcourse there are some things that we stress/panic over for a short while & then they just go if not totally away then at least to the back of our sub-conscious - it depends just how bad the situation is.

Her boyfriend "jacked himself off in her buttcrack" and she thought she was pregnant.
She needs to get on birth control/educate herself about how babies are/aren't made and take some responsability. Her and her boyfriend both need to take some form of sexual education so that when things like this happen she will know that she is not pregnant and will not stress about it.
