Dr. Guesses Ibs But I Am Really Sick And Need to Get Better Posted: 08-15-04 12:55pm
For the past month, I have had pain all
around my abdomen. I have had a lot of
gas that doesn't seem to come out and
bloating. A lot of the pain was on the
left side. A couple weeks ago, I got
very nauseaous and the pain increased on
the left side. I went to the emergency
room. I was found to have a small kidney
stone (which should pass naturually but
hasn't), but no gall stones and my blood
work was good. Over the next couple
days, I felt better and started eating
normally again. This past week, I had
pain all over and a fullness feeling. In
some ways I felt constipated, but the bm
came out loosely. If I eat, I feel very
nauseous in 20 minutes to an hour. As a
result, I have eaten very little. I saw
the doctor on friday. She said ibs and
perscribed hycoscyamine. I've only taken
it twice because I have blurred vision,
dizziness, and trouble sleeping taking it.
It hasn't seemed to help. I am still
cramping heavily, am perpetually nauseous
(severely if I even drink water), and
shrinking fast. I have dropped ten
pounds in less than a month, 4 this week.
I was not overweight and will be in
trouble if I lose another 10 pounds. I
am paid hourly and have no paid sick days.
My husband is unemployed. I have to
work, especially to pay for all these
medical bills. I just feel so ill though
and need to get better soon.

Get to your Dr. Now. Tell that that med
is not working and try to get referral to
gastroenterologist, gut Dr. If you lose
to much you will not be able to recuperate
fully for along time, or go to emergency
soonest. You will continue to loose
weight until you may become fataly ill.
You must get this under control to have
the strength to find out what it is.
