I was watching discovery health channel the other day and it was what they call "baby tuesday" and so they played stuffa bout births and adoptions and all kinds of neat stuff all day.
And there was this one show called "amazing births" it was really neat, kind of sad but really neat. This one baby was born 3 months early, midflight, luckily there was an ob on the airplane and the baby lived. But the oxygen mask was bigger then the babys head so it was really hard to give the baby oxygen.
And then this other story of a baby who was born 3 months early during a flood and the family couldnt get the baby to the hospital for hours cuz they were stranded. Finally telephones opened up and the got a helicopter to come get the baby. And again, the baby lived, but it had to stay in the hospital for four months.
And the craziest of them all was when a little 12 year old boy had to deliver his baby sister because his father was out of town and there were no adults and the baby was already crowning. And the little boy was amazingly calm. It was really neat.
Crazy stuff like that happens everyday. Its kind of scary to think about, you know. What if that were you?
