Q: Stay At Home Moms

How many stay at home moms are there here? I'm a stay at home mom for now b/c I can't drive yet. I had to quit my job in north carolina and I haven't been able to find a job here yet. I kinda want to go back to work b/c i'm getting really bored being at home but I don't want to put rylee in daycare. My doctor also told me to take it easy for awhile and not rush back to work if I didn't have to. I want to just work part-time but w/ daycare being so expensive it would be kinda pointless b/c my paychecks would probably just pay for that. I wish there was something I could do from home. I never thought that I would feel this way! After working through my whole pregnancy and being on my feet all day I thought I would really enjoy the time off! I do love being at home w/ her though. I just get so bored and lonely! I'm not used to this!

I know how you feel angie! I have been out of school since february and sometimes I feel so useless and bored! Josh will be nearly 5 months old when I finally get to go back. But dont worry, im pretty sure its normal! I dont like ptting josh and daycare either but I hadall last year to get to know the care takers and I love them and trust them a lot. So it makes me feel better about it, plus I get to spend 3rd period with him every day. Which is 10:20 am to 11:50 am. And I can spend my lunch there too. So I could have until 12:20. I don't eat lunch anyways. Lol. Maybe you could drop by and spend your lunch break with her in daycare? I dunno. Sorry im not much help but I know how ya feel!

Start an in-home daycare! That way you can be at home with your son and still be making money. That is what one of my friends is doing. I think she has five kids now (which I think in pa is the limit for an in-home daycare) anyway, it is an idea!

Yea, start an in home daycare. I did it last summer. And now is a great time b/c school is starting, and parent that left their young one's with their older kids have to find daycare b/c the older kids are going back to school. If you plan it out right you can make lot's of money. But be careful most states only allow you to have 6 children without being lisenced.

Angie do not start an in home daycare! Trust me! It is wayyy too stressing and not worth it. I can tell you a million stories from my moms house lol. You cannot tame some kids and they go wild and destroy your house. My mom watched...6 kids. Kristen, hope, romeo, floppy, jeremy and julian. And I could only last there about 20 minutes before all those rodents drove me nuts. They scream and fight and yell and run and spit and spill things and they need diapers changed and they eat so much. I swear I would go over with a granola bar and all of them are like "i want some I want some, can I have some!?" and they surround me and im like "back up rodents!! Mine!!!!!!" lol dont do it. Talk to my mom if you want lol. Shes always like im too old for this, they drive me crazy! And them kids tear apart her house too.

But cant you find something to do? I know ill be out and bored so im gonna work on decorating my apartment, and organize things, clean house, read, and visit my mom, visit jose for lunch, do everything to keep busy lol. Is there anyone you can visit? Walk to the park? Start arts and crafts? I dont know

Maybe you could be a caregiver, like spend your days with elderly people keeping them company and cooking them lunch. I bed they'd let you bring the baby along.

Floppy, lol. That is funny!
Well, yes it takes a great deal of patience and it is not for everyone, but I just thought I would suggest it. My friend who does it loves it, and she has "weeded" out the bad seeds and got all well behaved children now.

Yeah thats if your lucky, but the rest are just wild, especially with other kids, they just fight too much. Your friend loves it? Well I can see cuz she has good kids but thats rare, so many kids these days are monsters

Yes, many kids these days are freakin monsters, but of course I blame the parents in most cases.
Yeah, she does love it. But, she is that type of person. I personally wouldn't be able to do it. I would lose my mind! The only part that bothers her is that her job is at home so she is in the house way too often. That is enough to drive anyone crazy.
