From everything I read, this will not
happen, as they have very different
causes. Pneumonia can happen as a
secondary condition to lung cancer,
particularly if the tumor blocks off a
bronchiole, and part of the lung does not
get fresh air anymore. Also, someone with
copd as a result of smoking is much more
at risk for pneumonia, and smoking can of
course also cause lung cancer.

No
pneumonia is an infection, either viral or
bacterial.
