Q: Heart Beats Really Fast - Help :(

Hello all,

i wasn't really sure where to post this one as i'm not sure what it could be. I am extremely aware of my heartbeat all the time, not so much because I can feel it because I usually can't, but i'm always always checking my pulse to see how fast it's going because i'm worried that it beats too fast. All it takes is for me to take a run downstairs and my heart is racing. Even at rest it is often over 100 beats per minute (i read that 60-100 is the norm for a resting heartrate). I just think that my heart is working harder than it should be and i'm not sure what to think. I'm only 20 years old. Any ideas?

Racing Heart Rate
Have you had a complete physical??That can detect any heart abnormalities and possibly help to give you an answer to your question.

Last time I visited the doctor he told me my blood pressure and heart rate were normal, and I have also had a chest x-ray recently due to breathing difficulties but it also came back normal. I know what you're saying I probably should have a complete physical to rule out heart abnormalities but i'm sure they would have been detected already.
