Do all of the mattresses stores sell fit in every crib, because I was just checking on all that stuff and there are no sizes on the mattresses.

Well, I think they do. They usually sat "fits a standard crib", and the cribs usulally say that it needs a standard matress. So I think so.

Thanks destiny and christina, I was really wandering cuz one mattress is like 100 dollars and then there is one for like 30, so I figured their mattresses must be like grown up mattresses too, you know like a full or king. Lol. I know i'm slow.

Another question: what is the standardized width for slats on a crib in the .U.S? Mike's mom has an antique crib that we want to use, but we need to know if it adheres to the standards.

Erin I think it is 2 3/4 inches. But you could check just about any parenting magazine to be sure.

Oh no!!! These are like 4 inches apart!!

2 and 3/4 seems very small, because baby's heads are usually more than 10 cm in diameter at birth, and of course they grow after that. And 4 inches is 9.6 cm, so that still seems safe to me...

Hmmmm....
