Hi,

my throat started hurting about a week ago, only on the left side, I also feel like my nodes might me slightly swollen on the same side. Everytime I swallow, even my saliva, it feels like I have a piece of hard toast stuck in my throat, when I blow my nose it hurts up to my ear. Since I have to sing next week I did not take any chances and I went down to the clinic. The doc told me I had an infection in my throat, prescribed me amoxicillin for 10 days. Now I started my 4th day taking it and I feel absolutely no difference. Should I go back to the doctor ? Since my concert is approaching soon, I wanna make sure I heal asap. Anyone's opinion is welcome.

Thanks

gaetano

Call Your Dr.
If you aren't experiencing any relief after being on the medication for 4 days, I think you should definitely call your doctor and let him or her know what is going on. They might agree your medication needs to be changed and call you in a new prescription.
