Q: How should I tell My Mom I'm pregnant!

I am only 16 years old, and I am 5 weeks pregnant. My now exboyfriend, and the father of my baby broke up with me when I told him that my period was late Embarassed . I am so scared! I have no clue how to tell my mom! I am so scared about how she will react. No matter what she says or does I will not have an abortion or give my baby up for adoption though. If anyone could give me some ways to break the news to my mom.. that would help me out soo much! Thanx.

Honesty
You need to sit down with her like an adult and talk with her heart to heart. You may want to make sure that she does not have to be anywhere so that she can give you her undivided attention. It may be a shock to her at first, but it is better to be honest and tell her how you feel. All you can do from that point on is what is best for you and your baby. I commend you on taking a stand for not giving your baby up and especially for not having an abortion! Hope this helps...

Hang in There!!
I know this is probably a very scary time for you right now. I am 16 and I have been thinking about what I would tell my mom if I got pregnant anytime soon...and I could never think of anything. I am also 16 and even though the thought of having a baby is great, I know my mom and my family will not approve. But be honnest with you mom, and tell her straight up. Explain to her what you want from her (obviously her support). And a mother is supposed to be there for you always...so tell her that. I just wish you the best of luck with your mom and your new baby. But just remember..it will take your mom a little while until she gets used to the situation...but hang in there and things will be fine!! Let me know how it goes Smile

I am there with you girl
I am a 17 year old female that is 3 months pregnant and no one knows not even my boyfriend. I am also going off to college but I will have to tell my boyfriend soon. Because I'm sure he will start to notice to plumpness of the belly. But I'm just going to lay it out there and if they don't like what I want to do then fine they will come around.

Very Happy Rolling Eyes it will be okay just stay away from spicy food!!!!

ITS GONE BE ALLRIGHT!!!!!!!
IF U WANT TO SEE A RAINBOW. YOU HAVE TO STAND THOUGH THE RAIN. SWEETIE!!! Razz U SHOULD TELL YOUR MOTHER, OF COURSE SHE WILL BE MAD. WHO MOTHER WOULD BE HAPPY TO SEE THERE 16 YEAR OLD HAVING A BABY. Shocked SHE WILL GET OVER IT. THEN SHE WILL BE TRYING TO BUY THE BABY EVERYTHING. AND DONT WORRY ABOUT THE BOY. BECAUSE IT MIGHT TAKE A BOY TO MAKE A BABY BUT IT TAKES A MAN TO RAISE THAT BABY. YOURE NOT SO BAD. MY SISTER HAD HER BABY WHEN SHE WAS 13. SO IMAGINE HER TELLING MOTHER THAT SHE WAS HAVING A BABY. PLUS GOD WOULD NOT PUT NOTHING ON US THAT WE COULD NOT HANDLE. Cool OKAY SO HANG IN THERE. Mr. Green

I completely understand what you are going through. I am 19 years old and don't live at home but I am afraid of the disappointment I will get from my parents especially since me and my boyfriend just broke up a week ago. We dated for 14 months and it finally ended. He knows but he says it is my responsibility to tell my parents and I don't know how to have the words come out. I think them and say them in my head but they never come out loud enough.
