Well said army's wife! Sure hope your husband is doing o.K. My son has been to iraq twice and will be getting out soon, sure wish they would take some of these bums off the street and some of these welfare fathers and make them do a term of duty instead of making our guys go over twice. Just ignore cpl_jj he/she just seems to love the attention. I too was in the army and fought under the other bush, I too have respect for the u.S.A. But I will not discuss the bush's, I just cannot handle the bums hanging around. No one likes wars but their are times they are needed, unfortunately.
The best to you and yours!
Sincerely,
sandy

Re: fool America. I Am Canadian And doing it Pround of It!!
fa18hornet wrote:
good thing were I live we don't have these problems. Honestly, what's wrong with america? I don't support the war and i'm far from being 'just' proud of it. Dammit, you americans are really something else, arn't ya? Here in canada, we are respected worldwide!! You know why? Here's why: throughout the majority of 'american' history, you have assumed, you hear that? You people have assumed that war is the 'only', I repeat, only way to deal with things. You people are literally throwing yourselves into certain countries unleashing nothing but pure chaos. God!! To be honest once again (since that's the kind of person I am), while being utterly frustrated at times with you people, it's quite funny nonetheless. I mean what could possibly be more hilarious than you people walking around while wondering about such idiotic things? For example, you still believe it's ok to sit on your ass and wonder as to exactly why most of the world hates you so much!! Really now, you people asking such questions only makes us as canadians think you're a bunch of fruits that make it seem as though your i.Q. Levels couldn't possibly be any larger than fourty. It kinda makes me wonder if the majority of america is semi-braindead or mentally handicap or unstable to certain extents. I got one word and one word only to express how I feel about americans: idiots!! The world hates your guts because you are known worldwide for promoting war. Canada is a peace keeping coutry, and when it comes to terrorism, we compromise, set deals abroad, make friends, etc. Now you stupid americans are probably thinking that we only do this because were actually afraid of war. Afraid of war? what?! No, you see (considering canadians actually have brains and are intelligent enough to realise that violence is no way to solve things), we do this because it's the smart, not to mention right thing to do. You ever heard of the saying 'keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.'? Now look at us, we're canada for crying out loud. We are currently respected in such a way that america is forced to stare in shame and utter distrait. We would try negotiating if caught in the path of terrorism. Not just doing it charge with numerious amounts of weapons. Hence, they become even more pissed resulting in a decrease of america's popularity. Which as of now is pretty hurt. Damn, you people can't even spell words such as colour, humour, or anything else that does 'not' end with just an 'o', but an 'ou'. Awww. Brain (if americans actually have one, which they don't) having a hard time processing the extra vowel? You people are losers. It's sad. You know, my british friend was totally right and I didn't doubt him for a split second (or in this case, possibly a quarter or even a fraction of a second) as he quoted in reference to americans: "canadians are more down to earth and not as stupid." science also backs me up on this. Professionals within the field don't occasionally pass down bs. Canada is far more intelligent. Which is also quite sad seeing as how america's population is extended far over our's and there is believe it or not (due to governmental facts and all of that other political/economical logic) more poverty and higher tax rates throughout our system. Seriously, your well-known passion for violence in modern times just comes to show why smart people like us still wonder as to why you keep relying on such pathetic stratigics via terrorism and whatnot. Sure, you can go right ahead and say i'm verbally attacking your country. What do I care? Afterall, why should I lean repect towards a country that's going to soon be the number one cause for global warming? Don't get smart. You know exactly what I mean by that. Wait ago you stupid, oil built unions!! Ever seen the movie 'day after tomorrow'? You're damn right sh*t like that is possible (maybe not as harsh-flown, but still a huge threat) in reality. I mean c'mon!! After every war-related thing in which you people have participated in so far throughout global history (excluding world war 1 & 2), despite wanting to hear the truth, that truth (like it or not; believe it or not) is for every one positive that you have gained, you have been extracted negativity in the coarse of multiplication by two. Face the facts, you people are more hurt nowadays than so-called, and I quote out of my own descriptive prior to issue at subject 'the country of heroes'. Like i've mentioned earlier, idiots!! I guess you people truly are stupid... Seeing as how you obviously (or actually?) think war/terrorism and ruthless crime throughout the country (m*rder for that matter) is relavent in any way possible to your so-called claims of being the best in the world, heroes, etc. How wrong you are. Then again, and I do apologize to those americans for which do not possess a strong stomach or as to whether this may offend, but like i've said quite a few times now seperatly, here's my diagnosis on america full throttle: you people are idiots, pathetic and sad. You have major issues and alot of problems which need to be worked out and are politically corrupt seeing as how I do tend to watch cnn sometimes. Yes. You heard correctly. We too, as the rest of the world get that channel. Another example of the average american or better put, the average american prior to being a complete health question: america thinks they are the only ones who are watching their own, forgive me but this next word relates to the meaning of truth and fact, corrupt, yet, boring as hell news. Believe me, with canadian news there's at least somewhat of a decent percentage of news (local, national, global). With canada, you may hear about not a nice act from time to time, and that i'm willing to admit. But when you flick the channel over to the us of retarded a's, it's nothing more, no really, absolutly nothing more than warefare/terrorism and reports about blank blank m*rdering blank blank jr. ('constant' m*rder, and it isn't always your typical gang-related case) these trends seem to reign supreme within your country. Sh*t, this has got to be the reason as to why at least three/fourths of americans lack a revolutionary brain. This may make no sence, but as far as i'm concerned, i'd 'have' to be breaking at least one law of physics if to come up with a better conclusion. Hence if you will, my very own metaphore. And what's this whole obesity thing? Shouldn't people care less about those who for some reason tend to find big macs and/or quarter pounders with cheese sexually attractive? What a grose, not to mention humourous combination. But then again, what do you expect from fat or overweight people anyway? Possession of large rolls and flabby obliques are key when one is obese. Lol with those who cannot help it, obesity is a disease. But other than that minor, yet, simple factor of obesity, the fda are nothing more than a group of quiffers who have brains with the capacity to only memorize the basics of giving out phony info., and other things in which only apply to their hurtbag ass's. The fda can kiss my canadian arse. They are stupid as f*ck just like the rest of their damn country. And that's about all I can say. Now, back on topic. You think I havn't seen that dude, what's his face on infomercials?! I know all about your utterly corrupt fda system. It makes me laugh. Canada has got some issues like that as well, but compared to what i've heard from that guy, whoa! America has eternal problems. Damn... You people are messed with intelligence, ware-related issues and food production!! Holy shiz!! Wait, maybe it would have been more proper to label it as not food 'production', but food 'corruption'. Hey, that rhymes, too! What's wrong with you people? America uses the poor-ass excuse of having a vast history of war/chaos/violence in order to give them so-proclaimed good reason to continue on in the same raging manner. It's been like what? Over two-hundred years? Yet, you people can't even find a minimal way to achieve peace? Ask anyone with a 'quality' brain (canadians & british currently at the top, while the list continues until we reach america who comes in last...) and you'll be told that 'war/chaos/violence' is the last way to deal with things. The 'american' way of solving problems: war - if you go to war, ofcoarse the opposing force is going to hate you regardless of win or loss. It is commonsense. But this part of commonsense is in dissaray (explains american mental state) and constant disfunction (explains american physical state) with the american people. Recent canadian studies confirm that this is infact a disorder with our neighbours to the south. America has been diagnosed with what canadian experts have recently proclaimed as being 'dfs' (desperate for shotguns). What a tragic, yet embarrassing life plan for fool america...

i'm gonna have to side with u on this one. Most of it, not all of it. Yes I agree with u about lots of americans being retarded (sorry guys, but lots i've met are) but a lot of them are intelligent too. We just tend to see more of the retards... I'm also with u on the idea of war. We are definitely a peace keeping company. I mean, how's this for an example, I went to england in 2001 and was told to put a canadian flag on my backpack so ppl would know I was canadian and not american. It totally helped. My sister (who went 2 years before me) said that often she would be in a coffee shop or whatever for lunch and would be refused service because they claimed she was american. Not long after that started she bought a small canadian flag patch and never had another problem. We are friends to the world, the peace keepers and the negotiators. As for the news, ur right again there. I turned on the news today and u know what I saw? An interview with a man from surrey, bc, talking about the new program for disposing of the litter problem we have in vancouver and the surrounding areas! Wow! What news! And I turn on the american news from seattle, what do I see? Robbery, theft, b & e, homicide....Jeez! What a difference! I am sooooo thankful I live in canada and that my kids will grow up in a place were we don't have to be afraid to leave our doors unlocked during the day when we're home. I've heard ppl from the states saying that there is no way they would do that, the fear is just that high.... Personally I believe, make love not war. War is stupid and pointless. Find other ways to solve ur problems!!! Thank god for canada!

I am canadian and proud of it as well.
I do not dislike americans and I do not care to argue on whether war is right or wrong.
I started reading this thread and my heart went out to vanessalouanne for having to deal with a husband and family at war. The disrespect she was getting from cpl_jj was uncalled for and she even questioned where it was "all im asking you is to show a little bit of respect".
Im just wondering where the respect went? "you bunch of dope smoking vagina's"....
Best luck to your husband, I hope he returns safetly.

Im sorry I just lost it there. Im just so tired of having to defend everything I stand for. Being called all of these horrible things for being american. I have know so many people who have died trying to make this world a better place and then get called idiotic and being told were all hated. Im sorry but I am sick of all of this. I dont mean disrespect to all canadians, what I said was wrong I was just pissed off and typed the first thing that came to my mind when I read this. When I think of it more I realize that this one fool doesnt speak for all of the opinions of the canadian people (although I do know that many of them feel that way) thats like saying cpl jj is like all americans which is very very untrue. I am still very proud to be from america and wouldnt ever want to live any other place but I guess that if your opinion differs then who am I to judge?

Tina were you talking to me? Im sure you were not because I wasnt talking about the insurance money I would get I was arguing with cpl_jj about what a person he was. Read the whole post before you call me evil.

Oh and my husband is back from iraq and is getting out of the marines in a couple of months. He did his duty and now we soon get to start our family. I get to wake up with him beside me every morning and I cannot tell you how excitied I am for that. But please keep praying for our troops, if you believe in the war or not. The men and women over there are still mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters to many, americans and others. If you dont believe in the cause then pray for the people risking their lives to try to make the world better for everyone. Maybe you dont believe that their actions are right but their intentions are just.

I understand and I do not judge you for being frustrated. Im sure you're going thru a very hard time right now and I hope all will be well. I cant say I know what you're going thru since I have never had anyone close to me go off to war, but I appreciate the incredible amount of courage, patriotism and patience it must take to endure what you are.
If only everyone could realize that their opinions may not be that of their neighbour, and that it makes their neighbours opinion no less important or wrong. There is a lack of respect in the world that is so very sad.
Good luck to you, your husband, and the rest of your family serving.

Touching, not the responses I was looking for. But anyway... So, you think america could conquer canada, eh? That I would have to agree. But seeing as how we are a country that has been built and upgraded on keeping peace throughout the world to our fullest power, and not promoting war on a day-to-day basis like our southern 'retarded' neighbour, it wouldn't matter. Infact, if such thing were to happen, it would only come to show even more how the american people are incapable of controlling rage, hatred, and all other similar emotions as well as actions which relate to violence. Do you think doing such a thing would result in america becoming a stronger country, not to mention make it's people better in general? Yeah right... Now, I can honestly say I could care less as to what you 'think', and more about the 'facts' of your country that I have drawn out through previous posts...

Oh, excuse me, I did not realize that canadian's did not make typing errors and no, I do not have 20/20 vision, and I never did say I was perfect. I have friends in canada, I have been to canada, so don't say canadian's are perfect. I have fought for my country and I have helped my country, yes I have some medical problems but you might too when you reach my age but I still work helping others, someone else does my computer work because I am still learning and that way it gives me more time with my patients and clients and other work that needs to be done. I am not trying to judge anyone so don't try and judge me and where I am from and what I have done and what I do because I bet I have been around longer than you and I have known probably more than you and I have not met a perfect one yet.
So fa 18 hornet, no, I am not an fool, fyi, I just made an error.
Sincerely,
sandy

Your opinion really doesnt mean much in the scheme of things, I feel sorry for you. You talk about our hate and anger, sounds like you have issues yourself.
Every country has issues, even canada.

Its pretty pathetic that you have to sit on the computer and find other people to attack because there is obviously no joy in your life, go find other things to do besides attacking other people with serious issues. Try finding someone you care about ( and someone who will care about you which is obviously the more unlikely scenario)
