Hey!! I hope you'll all doing great!!! Well my mom told my stepfather and I yesterday that she has something called copd I think it is chronic obstruction pulmonary disease(sp?) she is really scared but I can't understand her well cuz she hasen't told me exactly what that really is. Do you guys know what that is?? Anything would really help.

My father has had copd for quite a number of years now. Basically, it is attributed to emphysema and chronic bronchitis. It is a airflow obstruction when breathing. My dad is now on oxygen 100% of the time, but he is doing much better than he once was.


Check out the american lung association for some good, easy to understand, info on the condition. I hope your mom is able to cope with it.
