Has anyone ever been tested for this disorder?

How can they diagnosis; by observation?

I am using lexapro and tegretol right now has anyone had success with that combination...I know we are all different....

I am bipolar type ii with more depression than manic times.

Check out "help please" under bipolar forum - i've listed some sites one of which had "tests" etc for bipolar assessment.

Persoanlly though I think that daignosis of virtually all mental disorders is based on the personal studies, specializations, "in" beliefs of the dr you see & that they do not like to be questioned or have anyone suggest that perhaps their original dianosis might need updating/rethinking!!

After all they are gods so they must be right regardless - yet look at how often in the past it has been found that mental health specialists in particular have been wrong in either diagnosis &/or treatments!!

Bipolar Sites On the Web
I checked out two chat rooms that were monitored and hosted on bipolar.About.Com.

Besides ridiclous, racing, nonsense conversation I did not see anything that could be used or learned. I like the forum format much better.

I have not found any information on diagnosis techniques or tests for bipolar yet...
