Q: Zit Help!

Hi. I have fairly clear skin, except for a huge pimple right beside my nose. It about the size of a dime, but it looks huge. Ive had it for over a week now. It never gets white heads or nothin on it, and it never gets any smaller. And theres another one under that one thats alittle smaller.

How long will it take to start to go away?
Is there any way to make em go away faster?

Ive never had a huge zit like this before, and now I have 2. I havnt ate any chips, chocolate, burgerking, mcdonalds, or any kind of oiley junk food in over 6 months, and I use an oil free acne wash every night and morning and usually once during the day, how do I keep getting zits???

Please help, thanks!

This Should Help.
I would gently keep it clean with a non abrasive anti bacterial soap. No acne wash for just a bit. Then use an astringent on it , letting it dry completely. Do not rub it! Just pat it on generously with a cotton ball. Although it may seem strange to put an oil base on a greasy looking zit, remember that all zits, pimples, acne, blackheads, whiteheads (you get the point) are infected pores caused by bacteria. Try putting a thin film of neosporin on it several times a day.

Do not pick or pop or squeeze it no matter how tempting it may be. Its on a part of your face, its very visible and from the size description it will scar horrible if you do not completely leave it alone until the last tiny scab of it goes away by itself. Do not mess with it or you will have a pit in your face forever. Either one of them. If you do not see some improvement within a week, see a doctor.

Keep it clean, dab with an astringent, let dry completely, apply neosporin (antibacterial ointment)

And I got some anti-acne gel patches that you put on overnight. Do you think that would help?

Astrigent is a bottle of liquid. You should be able to get them at your local grocery store or wherever. It even says astrigent on the bottle.

An example of an astrigent would be aveeno or sea breeze.
