I have a uti which won't go away and it hurts in my lower abdomen so much. It hurts to move, lay down, breathe... I also have a pain in my lower back on the left side. It's horrible and it shoots down my leg. As if it's not bad enough, i've started having my heart skip beats and it feels like it's pounding out of my chest and I get short of breath. What's wrong with me? I'm so freaked out...

Are you on any meds? The fact that your heart is pounding and skipping beats worries me a little. Have you ever had any heart problems before? Of course, the best thing for you to do is to call your doctor. I was thinking that if you were on some kind of medication, it might be causing those things. I'm a nursing student, so I could look up the side effects for ya if you want me to. I'm sorry about all the pain. I would call your doctor and let him know whats going on, he would probably want to know! Keep me updated!

U really do need to calm down I actually went through having heart palipatations where it skips beats and got on a heart monitor and everything like that and what happened to me was I got kinda hotish sweaty kinda and my heart would pound really hard and I could feel weird stuff through my arms and legs somtimes and then I also got short of breth which I thought were athsma attacks but wasent. What happened though was I went to the dr and they gave me a monitor to wear for 2 weeks then got me on some medacine for it. What can cause it is anxiety levels being high or if your worried about somthing, if you drink lots of soda with caffine or just have to much intake of caffine period, stress, and lack of sleep. O yea I almost forgot if I was sitting for over a 30 min period and stood up fast after an attack I would balck out and get light headed. I hope I helped you out I know those attacks were very scary for me and actually not to freak you out or anything but it runs in my family and 1 in a million people can die from it and my uncle died from that very cause just last year thats why I got checked out right away but thing is he ignored the symptoms so its not like it was random well to him anyway it shocked the rest of the family but I hope I helped and I dont want to scare you with that last fact just thought you outta know that -ryan, heather and mackenzie

Hey cara, don't worry! Heart pounding is perfectly normal during pregnancy! Your blood volume has increased by as much as 50% by now, so your heart is having to work much harder to get all that blood around your body! I feel exactly the same way.
