Hello doctor, I want to know the possible
reasons for heart enlargement.
Also, my husband's both siblings have
heart trouble. One had open-heart surgery
to remove a tumor last year. The other
has recently been diagnosed with an
enlarged heart and lack of pumping.
Can it be a hereditary problem? Is there
a need for my husband to get his check up?
If yes, what all tests should he go thru.
He is 30 yrs old.

Sounds heritary, I am not a dr, but he
needs an echo, and perhaps calcium channel
blockers. Does he have high b/p? It can
cause enlargement, as well as sleep apnea?
Does he snore when asleep?
He needs a feferral to a good
cardiologist... Hope this helps you
