Q: Pregnant Or Not? (faint Line On Hpt)

My last af was around augest 23rd. The month it was on the 21st. It was different this time though.
It came, wasnt very heavy, and ended early in the morning on the 23rd. I took a hpt today (brand was exact) and it showed a very very faint pint line. Hard to see but its there. The papers said a pink or purple line is a posotive but it says nothing about being faint.
I still have gotten af back and have feeling a bit sick to my stomach through the day. Also tired...Feeling very worn out. Light cramping has been happening also, about 2 to 2 1/2 inche above the pelvic bone.
Does anyone know about pregnancy tests well enough to try to judge what it could mean?
Thank you,
alicia

Pink Line
Dear alecia,

jess is right alecia, pink is positive no matter how faint it is, and as the hcg levels in your body rise in the next weeks or so, when you go for your next test the pink should be a lot stronger. Goodness me we have been trying to get pregnant for a while to now and spent a fortune on pregnancy tests, feel like buying shares in the company. Can't wait to hear from you after your next test, don't forget us, let us know, pleeeeease...

Take care...

Confused
Hello my name is ashley and I am 19 years old, since I was 5 my mom and everyone has been drilling in pregnancy symptoms in my head, on the 16th on this month me and my boyfriend had sex and he didnt let off inside me and wasnt close but about 5 days ago I started getting all kinds of pregnancy symptoms, nausea change in apetite, frequent urination, backaches, sore breasts, headaches and dizziness...But today I started and its not as heavy as normal and normally I get cramps before and this time nothing, just all of a sudden...And today all of the other stuff got worse, the nausea and headaches, I cant stand up without getting dizzy. Whats wrong with me?

But Still One Question...
Thanks everyone! Im extremely exited... Ive been waiting for this day for a few years now. And having endometriosis, I didnt know if it would ever come.
Anyway, I still have a question. I know you all say that a faint pink line is always positive... Does that mean even if you can hardly see it? I mean, my fiance has worse eyes then me and he cant see it. I can... Does that change anything?
Also, dizziness. Is that a symptom of pregnancy in some women? Its like im so out of energy that I get dizzy and just want to lay down. I mean, I know I could just be sick because theres a really bad flu going around, but that doesnt at all explain the one day period. My endometriosis has always made my period very heavy and between 5 to 7 days. It also would stop for a couple hours 2 or 3 days after it started, but then come back and finish its cycle.
Im 18 and my fiance tom will be 21 in november. Im just really confused I guess.
We've been together over 4 years and 3 years out of that, we never used protection. Ive never gotten pregnant either... My period would be a day late and id go out and buy a hpt just because I hope too much and then id get a positive and feel really low for the next week. I dont want to get my hopes up just to watch them fall.
Any advice?

Alicia

Dear alecia,

i don't blame you not wanting to get your hopes up. The only thing I can suggest is to take another pregnancy test in a week from the tie you took your last one. That way if you are pregnant, the hcg levels in your body should have increased which should give you a much stronger pink line if you are pregnant. Otherwise wait 3 - 4 weeks from your last period and take a blood test at your doctor, then you won't have to wonder anymore, the blood tests are as accuarate as they come.

Regards,

What someone at planned parenthood told me once is that even a faint line is positive. It's definately not a waste of time to go to the Dr. Because then you won't have to wonder.

Good luck to both of you and make sure and let us know.
