Q: Hep B Newborn Extra Vaccination

My wife is hep b positive and we just had a girl 2 months ago. Our daughter received 2 required vaccinations at birth and then the second dose at 40 days. At two months we were offered to receive a triple vaccination, which included hep b, dtp, and polio. There was an option to give dtp and polio as two separate shots, but the doctor offered us to make the triple one to spare a needle.

Now we found in papers about hep b that "the third dose should not be given to infants under 6 months of age, because this could reduce long-term protection."

is it serious? Does anybody know what consequences are? Do we need the third one at six months as required?

We are really worried and would appreciate any comments.

Thanks!
