I was sittin at home and ryan calls me, he wasnt on break yet but they asked if he could work tomorrow since charlie cant, but ryan cant either so they called him back to mark simpson(owner of wal-mart I think) and mark was tellin ryan to move his car so ryan did. Then they were telling him that he cant talk on the phone while on break or go outside. Then a manager scott called ryan by him and was talking to him about something and said if things continue then they will call him back to mark simpson again. And mark simpson said one more thing and your outa here. Now if im not mistaken its ryans break he has the right to take it where ever he pleases right? And he sure in the hell can use his phone to call me on his break, they are telling him that he cant. I mean is half the caca that they are doing is it legal? Im getting sick of this place and I dont even work there. When ryan was telling me this stuff they had ppl watching him and so im sure he'll get called back down to mark simpson for being on the phone but whatever. That place is bogus as hell. I told him to just leave and explain everything to his mom later. Tonight we are going to go get applications and hand em all in since he has tomorrow off. I know that I woulda left by now and so would have all of ryans friends that did work there but quit because wal-mart is unfair. I dont remember who had said on here that u can bend over backwards for wal-mart but they dont do anything back in return..Well u are right. Wal-mart sucks a$$. God this is so frustrating, we are worried about money problems with this whole pregnancy(cant offord the bills and now the hospital bill) and then car insurance and all that good caca. Ugh.......Sorry im mad I needed to vent because wal-mart stresses me out with what they put my fiance through every f*ckin day. By the way they dont do this just once in awhile they are always on ryans case, watching everything he does.

If his breaks are on the clock, then yes he has to take them by the store's rules. No phone, no leaving. If he is clocking out for his breaks, then they can not tell him what he can or can not do for his breaks. So it all depends.

Well at kevins work, your not supposed to use your cell phone on the property, and during break, you can only go to certain areas, like your not allowed to go to your car or anything during break. But he is allowed to use a phone that is in there to call me, but he cant use his cell phone (lol or at least when he had his cell phone)... I dunno, all ryan can do it find out the company policys and do everything as it says, and then when they question him about it, he can say "oh well thats not a policy, tell me one good reason why I cant"....

April, ryan has been workin there for almost a year and they had never had a problem with him going outside for his breaks or using his cell phone to call me. Everyone in the department ryan works in bring their cell phones to get ahold of their kids(if they are at the dads house) or to just have it incase of emergencies. Wal-mart is just ridiculous. Stacey I dunno if he clocks out or not when hes on his breaks, I do believe that he does and if he didnt they never were mad about him goin outside or anything until now. They just want someone to health forum at, well at least thats what I think.

My fiance just called me on his lunch break and he works at wal mart. Just got off the phone. If he is off the clock, he is the same status as a customer except with the priviledge to go in the back of the store. He can go wherever he wants. My problem with walmart is they are cutting payroll and we can't afford it. We have a car to get in top condition and one car we need to get on the road period. He is also in debt and his whole paycheck is spent before he gets it.

This is the same kinda crap walmart pulled on me. He's allowed to take his breaks as he pleases, he's allowed to use his phone or go outside. It's in the rules book. I quit there after almost 3 years because once I got pregnant they were pulling everything they could to get me to quit. But once I did quit I was told by the unemployment office that I qualified for unemployment because of the things walmart did to me. Tell ryan not to take their crap. Their not worth the stress. If I were him, i'd call home office and let them know whats going on. The things their doing to him are illegal, it's in the rule book!
