Q: Weird Toe

Hey, first time here. Last night I was bored while on the computer, so I decided to play with the pinky toe of my left foot a little bit. Now, here's what happened (keeping in mind that toes bend downwards). I took the tip of the toe and I lifted it up, while kind of pushing the middle of it down, straightening the toe. I felt a pop, and now my toe is kind of red. It's also kind of pointing the wrong way (seeing as how the right pinky toe points to the left and the left to the right, both are basically pointing in the same general direction (but it doesn't look horrible or disfigured, just a little different). I felt no pain when this happened, nor do I feel any now. I'd like to know what I did to my toe.
