Hair Loss Too Early Posted: 09-27-03 02:01am
Dear babygirl,
i am sorry to hear that your hair is
falling out at such a young age, goodness
me that must be very distressing for you.
Do you suffer any illnesses ? What is
your diet like ? Maybe your vitamin and
mineral intake isn't sufficient. Some
hairloss is normal, we all lose a certain
amount of hairs each day, but it shouldn't
be that many that we start finding it in
clumps between our fingers after
shampooing. If you talk to your doctor
about it I am sure he or she would have
some really good suggestions for why this
is happening to you.
Good luck,
.::suzy::.

I Had Hair Loss Posted: 12-03-03 00:56am
When I was about 15 - 17 yrs of age, my
hair used to come out, it scared me alot.
But theres nothing to be afraid of, it
could be because your hair is changing
while your going through puberty, atleast
thats what my hair dresser said. Im 19
now and my hair is strong and healthy.

For a number of reasons my daughter (15)
has had a horrible & extremely
stressful year & a few weeks ago her
hair started falling out in just the way
you described. Now her hair is very long
& even getting her to have it trimmed
is a battle so you can imagine her
reaction, especialy when even people who
didn't know her would look & say "my
god" at the amounts that were coming
out.
She was totally stressed out & very
ill as a result>>>> correct
diagnosis of what was wrong (as opposed to
previous incorrect one!!) some progress
toward regaing her health & her stress
decreases & hey presto hair loss
stopped!!!!
Suggestions that might help, check your
diet is reasonable, check that you're not
constipated, then try the following: take
a gentle 30 minute walk every morning
(even if overcast) between 6 & 7 am as
at this time the suns rays affect our
brain chemicals in such a way as to
destress us; eat foods high in tryptophan
(most nuts, yoghurt, turkey, bananas,
ricotta cheese etc etc) this balances the
serotonin levels in our brain &
reduces stress. If stressed rub the
fleshy part of the back of your hand
between your thumb & first finger
firmly for headaches & stress
headaches & rub up & down 2-3
inches firmly on your wrist below your
little & ring fingers for stress.
Have you ever noticed any pear shaped bald
patches on your scalp? If so, you may
have alopecia. You need to see a
dermatologist to get diagnoced. I dont
want to worry you, and please do note that
there are no life and death side affects
to this disease. You can also check out
www.Naaf.Org to get
the signs of this. God bless. :p

Don't get urself completely stressed out
about the issue, thats the worst thing to
do, the same thing happend to me a few
months ago I lost more then half of my
hair before I decided to go to a
dermotologist. After many tests I was
informed my hair loss was due to
discontinuing the birth control pill. A
month or 2 later I started the pill again
after I found out thats what it was from.
The 10 strands of hair that would fall out
when I ran my fingers through it went down
to zero and then it started growing
again. I have no bald spots but my hair
is very thin. I have alot of regrowth now
and the new hairs are about an inch long.
It's a long process but i've been reasured
my hair will eventually be back to almost
the same thickness it was

Nioxion-suppose to Work?does It? Posted: 04-22-04 07:48am
Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone of
you had hereditary hair problems in your
family? I was also wondering if you guys
ever heard of anything help growing back
hair that's been lost. And I don't mean a
hair transplant either. Have any of you
guys heard of nioxin? I heard it helps
with growing back hair and people swear by
it.

Hair Loss At Early Age/ Nioxion Posted: 10-05-05 23:00pm
As a hair dresser, I also loose hair. My
problem is low iron. A person depending
on hair color and type can loose any where
from 50 to 300 hair strands a day. Length
and texture also play a role in hair loss.
Out with the old, and in with new! As
for products to help you, tigi- and redken
have great thickening shampoos. They
swell up the hair shaft to create a
thicker look. For people with more
permanant hair loss, nioxion is great, but
remember with all those shampoos like
nioxion, you must continue use, once you
stop the use of it, the hair re-growth
stops also. Its a scalp stimulant. And
always check with your doctor before using
those, because they may react to
medications. I hope I have helped some of
you. Oh and a great, cheap relaxing way
to stimulate the scalp.... Stop in a
salon for a reconditioning treatment.
They usually run between $5.00- $20.00.
Depending on where you live.

Same Problem Posted: 11-13-05 20:35pm
I am 17 years old and I have the same
problem, my hair comes out more often when
I am in the shower or when I stroke my
hand through my hair, my doctor tested me
for iron deficientcy and something else(no
solution)... My dad (who also is a
doctor) told me that every 7 years hair
sheds more than naturally and it will
regrow in a few months. I hope they're
right, its been 2 weeks so far.. Be sure
to stick to your vitamins; I prefer
centrum=thats what I take.... Vitamin e
is very vital to hair growth but its said
that it is not good for the blood/heart
for it creates a more viscous blood so you
dont want to be taking only vitamin e
pills because they are in high quantity
400ui I think.

Im 37 and you should see the hair left in
my shower drain. A pile!.
So if you go to ebay and type in "ojon"
you will see a lineof hair products.
Ojon is a canadian hair product discovered
by my cousin's cousin. It is all
natural, danny simioni (founder) was
feature in "o" magazine along with many
others.
Ojon is a oil extracted fron this nut and
boiled by the the locals of honduras.
It is only found here. Any way. This
product will help with hair loss becasue
it strengthens the hair shaft. I highly
recomend the shampoo and condoner plus the
hair putty. There were a few people who
were cancer patiants who used the product
after treaments and said there hair as not
fallen out.
If you can got directly to the ojon web
site it will give you all the info you
need
I remember when I was doing my final yar
at school there was a girl in my year that
lost all her hair due to stress and had to
wear a wig! I felt so bad for her but I
think her parents were putting extreme
pressure on her to get good grades. I
also knew a girl who had an eating
disorder and lost alot of hair due to
malnitrition, are you eating well?

Hi,
i wanted to say I know how hard it is to
go through this. You are not the only
one. I have been through the same
period. I started losing hair when I was
17, and now I am 22. Mental depression,
dissatisfaction with everything. You
name it...
Just wanted to tell you how I have been
able to stop my hair loss and start some
growth. I have started using provillus
it has changed my life. It is an herbal
product and in one month stopped the hair
loss and a little after 2 months I started
to see the hair growth.
