I've been on ortho tri cyclen lo for a month and a half. When I first got on it I was dry a lot during sex but I blame it on that I really was not in the mood because I had stabbing pains in my side for a few days. (that's enough to make anyone not want to have sex) other then that, i've had no problems.

Side note: apparentally, pills with 3 levels of hormones (a diff level each week) are less liekly to cause decrease in sex drive.

I have been on nuva ring for the past few months and I can say that my sex drive has not went anywhere. I would think that it has increased since getting on nuva ring.

Birth control can increase/decrease your sex drive. That is very, very common. If it is bothersome, you can switch to a different pill that doesn't give you that effect.

I Lost That Lovin Feelin
Yep ,lost my libido on the pill.My doc switched me to yasmine. It has some testosterone in it ,it did help. Now my doc took me off the pill altogether, now my husband has lost his desire Crying or Very sad .I keep trying to talk him into a little snipsnip.Probably not even needed,we could not concieve when we tried.Oh well!!!Yes,the pill is a double edged sword! It gives you the freedom to have sex whenever you want, then takes away the desire!!I miss my pills!!!!It made my peroids so much easier and could pinpoint the arrival almost to the hour!! Laughing I guess I can only hope menopause comes soon!Patty

Im on alesse and me and my boyfriend will have to say that I have a highly increased sex drive.. I dont know if its becuase of the pill or if im just more comforatable knowing that I have a very slim chance of getting pregnant. If u do find you have a lowered sex drive.. Ask ur doctor about another bc choice
