Hello. I had an open rny on 4-4-02 and am currently having a really annoying pain and I dont know what it is and if I should wait it out or have it looked at. It's a pinching pain to the right of my incision twards the top to center of the incision line. It's about an inch and a half right of the scar. It feels like someone is poking me with something internally(coes and goes) and it is sore to the touch and internally when I sit. I dunno what is on the right side, I thought all the work was on the left side, am I right? Is there anything like internal staples there?
Any ideas?

Dear Frustrated...
Of course you have internal staples. That's what's holding your new pouch together until everything heals back properly. If you had an open procedure, your sternum may be sore. Mine was sore for months after. Remember, surgeon's are not gentle when they are working inside of you. Be careful lying on your stomach and if the pain persists go see your surgeon!
