Q: hard corn on top of my toe

I have a hard corn on top of my toe. I tried using Dr. Scholl's medicated disks, but now my corn has a dark circle around it. It looks worse now than it did before I started using the medicated disk. How can I get rid of the dark circle around the corn?

I have a small circular patch of hard skin under my big toe. Im fairly sure its a corn but i havnt had it checked out yet.
Its slightly painful when stood on, and seems very slightly inflamed.

anyone else?

Once your corn heals, I would suggest srubbing the healed area with lemon juice to fade the dark circle

The first thing you need to do is give yourself a corn pedicure. Fill a basin with warm water and soak your feet for 15 minutes. Dry your feet with a towel and file those corns away with a pumice stone or callous trimmer. A pumice stone with a handle will give you more control. This is the best way to obtain smooth feet. Home remedies include applying natural apple cider vinegar or chamomile tea to your corn with a cotton ball and covering it with duct tape or a Band-Aid overnight. You can also try applying lemon oil or papaya juice 2-3 times daily to your corn. Your final option is to see a podiatrist. A podiatrist will freeze the corn off, shave it away or remove it with acid.

Cool!
Fancyfeet2, thanks for the reply! I will give that a try tonight and let you know how it goes in a week or so (once effects are noticeable).

Is the chamomile tea / band aid option a combination? eg chamomile application and then band aid over night? Or are they all general options?

Thanks very much for the help!

Hi Anderson,
Apply either chamomile tea OR apple cider vinegar to your corn. Then cover it with a band-aid Smile
