I have taken the pill before to regulate my period but I had to get off them because they were causing me to have nausea and lose my balance. Now im on it again those same symptoms are back

are the pills just not good for me?

If im on the pill should I still use more protection apart from using condoms?

While on the pill if my bf finished inside me without a condom would I still get pregnant.
Embarassed
i would really appreciate everyones feedback
thank you

You may want to switch to a different brand of pill. Some women's bodies have a very hard time adjusting to the hormones and it takes a lot of trial and error before finding a method that works for them. You might be able to find another kind that has a lower dose of hormones and your symptoms may ease up a little. Smile talk to your doctor. The brand of pill I take is low hormone, yet it still makes my pms worse.... I've just learned to live with it though.

If you really want to be careful about not getting pregnant, using a condom as backup is a great idea. And as you probably already know, the pill doesn't prevent you from contracting stds while condoms do. That's another thing to consider. The pill alone is said to be 99% effective against pregnancy if you use it properly. Personally I don't use backup with the pill.

Yes it's still possible to get pregnant if your boyfriend ejaculates inside of you while your on the pill.... But if you take your pill properly everyday the chances for that are very very low.

Hope that helps. Smile

Poor thing--the pill messed up your equilibrium?? Confused

Ugh. I've been on the pill for 2 days, and about twenty minutes ago, I was awoken by nausea. I tried to just go back to sleep, but it persisted, and I actually had to go to the restroom to throw up. Sad will this go away??

Yup odds are the nausea will die down within time, crazybanana (cute name by the way!). It took me 4-6 weeks before I felt somewhat normal again. Most doctors will tell you that unless your symptoms are completely unbearable, stick with your method for 3 months since by that time your body should be adjusted to the pill to the best of its ability.

I remember the first day I started taking ortho tri cyclen lo. It was hell! Lol my stomach hurt so bad, I was having awful cramps, and I felt like crying for no apparent reason. I was also moody and tired. My wonderful boyfriend was always there for me when I was feeling sick from my pills and that helped out a lot. Tylenol and pepto-bismol helped too.

Anyway, hang in there for awhile. I know it's tough right now, but it'll get better. Good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement and advice, dustbunnie. I had to leave work early because I was feeling so very queasy today. And I agree, it is really nice to have a supportive boyfriend!
