You may want to switch to a different brand of pill. Some women's bodies have a very hard time adjusting to the hormones and it takes a lot of trial and error before finding a method that works for them. You might be able to find another kind that has a lower dose of hormones and your symptoms may ease up a little.

talk to your doctor. The brand of pill I take is low hormone, yet it still makes my pms worse.... I've just learned to live with it though.
If you really want to be careful about not getting pregnant, using a condom as backup is a great idea. And as you probably already know, the pill doesn't prevent you from contracting stds while condoms do. That's another thing to consider. The pill alone is said to be 99% effective against pregnancy if you use it properly. Personally I don't use backup with the pill.
Yes it's still possible to get pregnant if your boyfriend ejaculates inside of you while your on the pill.... But if you take your pill properly everyday the chances for that are very very low.
