Help For Tinnitus Sufferers Posted: 07-25-04 12:41pm
Www.Neuromonics.Com.Au
(or www.Neuromonics.Com)
the researchers here have developed a
machine which is calibrated uniquely for
each sufferer & which alleviates much
of the problem for tinnitus sufferers.
A new device called neuromonics has been
created to desensitise the brain to the
annoying sound. You wear an earpiece and
the device plays music which has been
digitally modified to change the pitch and
add background noises, retraining the
brain and reducing the chaotic sounds.
At present it is costly $a5,000
(approx$us3,500).

tinius sufferer on and off Posted: 01-21-08 15:46pm
Isn't it just a lovely thing when your ear
playing C sharp is going to play til the
bitter end. (not funny but is sorta) Well
the truth of the matter is i suffer from
tinnitus, (i've been calling it tinius -
Oops ) anyways this started as far back as
age 10 (42 now) and as i get older it gets
worst, i live common law and we don't make
alot of $ to pay for this kind of surgery,
tho i'd love to get rid of it, having
anxiety and a hard time leaving the house
prevents a positive outcome..(sighs) so
far i'm just trying to deal with it some
days of course better than others...
(heaven forbid its a sign of going deaf)
Thx for at least posting this
message..sometimes i feel like i'm the
only one suffering with this in my circle,
or the only one who talks about it..
Cheers..Take Care and GodSpeed..
