My neck is killing me today. It really makes me want to scream. I think I tweaked it while vacuuming. Stupid pets! No, that’s not true, but today I regret the little hairy beasts.

*i hear your pain.* I have lower back pain pretty much constantly. Try to realize certain things will aggravate your problem and work around them. I pay my teenage neighbor to mow our lawn and take out the garbage. As far as ruining yourself through vacuuming, have you considered just getting a lighter vacuum? Or try one of those robotic vacuums that does the work on its own. I saw one the other day and was reasonably impressed. It’s made by irobot. Yes, the same name as that will smith movie that just came out.

Robot Vacuum
I bet the fury animals would like the robot vac too. I know my dog love chasing it around. Any suggestions on what I can do to make taking the clothes out of the washer and putting them in the dryer easier on my back? Thats the single most painful activity I do in my weekly routine.

Are the washing machine & dryer at the same height - if not try & get things fixed so that they are - that should help.

Its mostly reaching down into the washing machine that causes me the most trouble. Probably not much I can do. Maybe if I raise the machine up a little with some blocks or something.

If you do raise it, make sure reaching over and in won't hurt even more.

Have you tried using some sort of a hook to get the clothes out?? It would take abit longer but probably cause less pain, especially once you got used to it.
